• Every summer, we pack up the family and pets to go to our family farm in North Dakota and get away from it ALL… no Internet or cell phone service and 2 TV channels.  Absolute heaven.

• I grew up on a small farm and raised every animal imaginable.  
• My first sales job:  selling milk from my very own Holstein cow to the neighbors!
• I’ve never met a food yet that I won’t at least try and learned to love to cook at a young age.  My mother was infamous for turning the burners on high and going outside.  We knew dinner was ready when the smoke detector went off (hence my desire to learn to cook and try new foods!)
• Besides my four children and four granddaughters, I love being around water the most, followed by travel and golf.

• In my free time, I serve as a member of the Metro Exposition and Recreation Commission, an appointed volunteer board member with oversight of the Oregon Convention Center, Portland Expo Center and Portland Center for the Performing Arts.
• I’m a vocalist with the Oregon Repertory Singers, an 84-voice mixed ensemble that performs several times a year all over Portland.
